Have you started reading it? Have you finished it?!?!?! I'll be honest. I am more nervous about this book release than any other book or research paper I've published. So many of you had such nice things (and some great constructive feedback) to say about Susix that I am worried about how the second book will hold up. I really hope you all like it! Whether you loved it or hated it, leave a review. I read them all, and they really help get books in front of other readers. ALTHOUGH, some of you have been beating the virtual streets letting others know how much you liked Susix.

Now, I did promise results from the "Who is who?" quiz. In order it was:
-Seethur
-Huzzar
-Vesex
-Hix
-Seph

Happy reading!

😬 would it be a cop out to say that’s how it felt like the direction the story should go?

Just finished! Loved it! I do have a question about her translator and their translators.... So their translators were learning her language as her translator was learning her language as well... so was it that each implanted translator had to learn? Or because they all had the implanted neurlink, they all kind of benefited together when one of them worked with her to let their translator learn her language? Because, like Vesek and Hix didn't talk to her much at first when she got her translator... and because she isn't a registered species, and thus her language isn't known, other species' translators don't have her language without extensively talking to her and learning it... correct? Would her translator work with other languages too that were universally recognized- because her translator was already connecting her language to Susix, it would make sense that it could then connect to other languages (A=B, B=C, thus A=C....) making complete sense that she could understand more aliens who couldn't understand her.... sorry, idea dump...heh... I just love the complexity of sci fi...Anyway, I'm excited to see where this goes! Also if you ever need any ARC readers or even before that, any beta readers, I'm experienced at both! :) I volunteer as tribute! :)

You're completely on the right wavelength of my thoughts. All translators come with a set list of languages that they can translate. If you are receiving one and you speak a language that is on that list, you are automatically able to access every language in the database.

For Cece, the translator needed to learn English before it could start translating to understand all the languages on the database. The guys were able to benefit regardless of how much they were able to speak with her because of their neuro-comms. Think of it as an automatic update. Whereas other aliens would need to do a manual update. Now that English is in the database, if you encounter someone speaking it, you can update your translator to include it. It's not very common in the universe right now, so not a lot of aliens know they can update for it.
